Riverwalk Opening
On Friday September 25, 2009 the Itasca Riverwalk was officially opened, linking the traditional downtown to the Municipal Complex, Waterpark, Library and Nature Center.
The Riverwalk is composed of a concrete surface, complete with lighting, decorative features and signage. Additionally, 2 decorative disk-shaped brick paver sections have been built as areas to relax and enjoy nature.
The Riverwalk represents a important component in making the Village of Itasca a more walkable and pedestrian friendly community.
