An Excessive Heat Watch is in Effect July 18-20 in Northern Illinois

Heat will potentially build to dangerous levels Thu-Sat, especially on Fri. Heat indices could climb to 110 degrees. Warm overnight temps will offer little relief from the heat and humidity. The Itasca police department is a designated cooling center.

Register Now for 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

Enter a team of three or four to compete in this 3 on 3 double-elimination
tournament on July 19 & 20, the weekend after the ItascaFest activities. Fee: $50 per kids team on Friday and $75 per Adult or 30+ Team on Saturday. Benson School courts.

Tuesday, August 6, at 5pm, the Itasca Police Department invites residents and businesses alike to join us for our annual National Night Out at the Municipal Complex. There will be collection bins for non-perishable food items for the Itasca Food Pantry.

ComEd Tree Trimming July through September in Itasca

Beginning In July, ComEd will be in Itasca trimming trees, branches and vines that interfere or have the potential to interfere with power lines. The trimming will end in September. All work is performed by trained arborists.

Water main replacement along Catalpa Ave. from Division St. to Bryn Mawr.

Work on replacing a water main along Catalpa Ave. begins June 17. Street parking along Catalpa Ave. will be temporarily prohibited on the side of the road where construction is taking place. Work is expected to be completed by mid August.
