Itasca Arbor Day April 28 and Tree Dedication

The Village of Itasca will be celebrating Arbor Day on Saturday, April 28th at
the Itasca Village Hall. Ceremonies will be held in the Village Board Room, beginning at 1:00 pm and will include the dedication of memorial and commemorative trees.

Following the ceremonies, attendees will be able to view the trees in the arboretum, located to the south and west of the Village Hall. To have an existing tree in the Village’s arboretum dedicated to commemorate a special event (ex. birth, anniversary) or to honor the memory of a departed loved one, please contact Fred Maier (fmaier@itasca.com) no later than April 9.  An existing tree in the Village’s arboretum can be dedicated for $250.00, which covers the cost of installing the plaque and post on the south side of the tree. The plaque identifies the tree species, who or what the tree is dedicated for, and who dedicated it. You will also receive a certificate acknowledging the tree dedication that will include all the information found on the plaque.
