Nationwide Test of the Emergency Alert System September 20

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) on September 20. The WEA portion begins at 1:18pm and the EAS portion follows at 1:20pm local time.

The test will assess the operational readiness of the infrastructure for distribution of a national message and determine whether technological improvements are needed.

Village Hall Entrance Construction

Contractors began work on Sept. 13 on an improved entrance to the Itasca Village Hall & Police Department. During the first phase of construction near the Village Hall entrance, visitors are asked to enter through the Police Station.

"Surviving and Active Shooter Event" Sept 27, Itasca Village Hall

ComEd Tree Trimming August and September in Itasca

ComEd will be in Itasca trimming trees, branches and vines that interfere or have the potential to interfere with power lines beginning in August and ending in Sept. In some cases tree removal may be required. All work is performed by trained arborists.
